"Tranquil hotel with quality service" My husband and I are from Ireland and have stayed at the Tivoli Porto Hotel three times and are planning to return soon. Within easy reach of the city, the Douro River and the Atlantic coast, the Tivoli Porto Hotel is located just off Oporto’s fashionable Avenida Boa Vista, home to many exclusive fashion houses. A member of the renowned Tivoli Group, this 5 star hotel is just three minutes from main access roads to and from the city, and ten minutes in the opposite direction to the coast. The policy in this hotel is quality service and Tivoli guests enjoy a haven of complete tranquility, silver service, beautifully appointed air conditioned rooms with double marble bathrooms (bathrobes provided) and nightly delivery of tea and coffee with pastries. A nice touch is the photocopy of Irish Times headlines slipped under the door each morning. There are attractive gardens where delicious meals are served, alongside an outdoor swimming pool (separate kiddies pool) serviced by a pool attendant providing freshly laundered towels, sunbeds and parasols.
