"Great Hotel"
Just returned from a weekend at the Le Meridien Park Atlantic Porto, and I can say this is a very good hotel. The location is good, bus stop and Taxi outside the Hotel and 10 minutes walk to the Metro station Francos that takes you to all different parts of Porto. The room was very spacious and the staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a good nightclub and very good restaurant. The breakfast was plentiful and had something for everyone as well as champagne!!!! Porto is a nice town to visit and this hotel will make you stay very enjoyable.

"Class and value"
I have been fortunate enough to have travelled the world, albeit mainly on business. I still can't work out how this hotel chain combines class and service with such outstanding value. I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past 2 months - and yes you need a taxi to get to the old part of Porto but what is 6 Euros when you are saving such a great deal on your hotel bill.
I will be back in Porto in a few weeks and there is only one place I will staying.

"meriden atlantic - great hotel"
Just spent a few days here and have to say it was an excellent hotel. Very comfortable, modern, spotless and welcoming. I hated to leave it. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. food was excellent including breakfast. Drinks were a little on the expensive side so be sure to keep away from the mini bar......I will certianly be staying in meridien hotels again if this is an example. Only one thing missing - a pool.

"Superb Hotel"
This is a fantastic hotel, situated in the Boavista area of Porto. This is obviously one of the 'poshest' areas of Porto. There are numerous tourist attractions within comfortable travelling distance. Public transport is good with bus stops and taxis ranks outside, and the Metro station about a 10 minute walk away.
The Hotel does not have a swimming pool or gym, which did not concern me at all, but it may obviously be facilities that other travellers require. Porto is very reasonable for food and drink prices compared to the UK, but the Hotel prices are comparable to similar establishments in the UK.
I got a great deal with Expedia at £48 (approx 72 Euros) per night for a twin room.
