"Definately a must stay!!"
We just recently returned from a 3 week vacation in Portugal. This hotel was the best that we stayed in. It is absolutely beautiful, close to everything, and the staff were incredible, attentive to every need!
Truly first class. We got a great rate on our room through the Hotel Store voucher program. Well worth every penny even at regular price.
Truly a must stay!!!

"Best Kept Secret"
Loved this hotel. Our room was beautiful...the hotel was beautiful...the dining room was beautiful. Our breakfast was included in the price of our room and it was absolutely gorgeous, as was the impeccable service. We did not have dinner there because we wanted to get out and experience more of the city, but if dinner was anything like breakfast, it must have been wonderful. Oporto is a very worthwhile city to visit, however, I would recommend doing it with a guide. The hotel offered us an English-speaking guide with a car, which we chose not to do. However, the next day we met Fernando Magellan Pereira who was our taxi driver and I believe that is who the hotel would have called for a guide. He has a beautiful mini-van and speaks excellent English and he would have made our experience in Oporto so much more meaningful. He will tell you about El Infante de Sagre, Henry the Navigator, who is someone that anyone visiting Portugal must know about. I wish that I could locate the card with his phone number, but can't seem to locate it at the moment, but the hotel can put you in touch with him. Don't miss the Majestic!

"old school charm"
Old school style. Very elegant common areas. Staff extremely friendly and helpful . They speak fluent english, a plus in Port. Excellent location, center of town near both the shopping areas and the river front. The food at the restaurant was great.
This is not a neat modern hotel, but a charming time capsule well worth a stay.
